Adjusting of Mast 50008 & Mast 50410

Hi, I was looking around the Sighthill Industrial estate (EH11) and noticed that eNB 50008 hadn't been seen since 2021. The cell positions also looked unusual so I restored the position and it popped back to nearby eNB 50067 which, was first seen shortly after 50008 was last seen. I believe the ID may have been switched and it was for the same mast so I have marked 50008 as decommissioned.

The cell positions also looked unusual for 50410, after checking Google Maps it looks like this one was not installed at that location so I have moved it to where I originally had 50008 located, this seems like the intended position.

Deleting old cells

Hi,

I've been thinking about deleting old cells that haven't been seen in years, since they clutter most towers. This would be 3+40 cells that were split off years ago, as well as some sites with removed sectors (primarily 508654 and 502043). Might be worth putting stuff like switch-on date for the bands, and switch-off date for the sectors, on the wiki to keep that data without it on the map. I'm happy to do it, but I didn't want to just nuke it without warning. What do you think? - DirtyRat583, 22:16, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Hiya - yeah, I think it's a good idea, although I'm not really an authority when it comes to things like that :D I think it'd be fair to create pages for those things to keep the map a bit neater, as you say. Frvic93 (talk) 23:48, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
