Would be good to have some background info about this site too Frvic93 (talk) 02:05, 2 December 2024 (UTC)

Not putting all details on the main page but:

- eNB seems to have been broadcasting from the old VF panels on the roof, which were never removed

- O2 didn't submit anything to the council until mid-2018 (18/03569/FUL), I assume VF got sick of waiting and did a radio swap of their own to have 4G in the area

- When O2 finally did their upgrade in mid-2019, they didn't put in VF radios, presumably because VF already had their own

- In late 2019, O2 submitted another notification to the council to upgrade the site with band 40, passive n78 and finally put VF on their antennas (19/05241/PNT)

- The tower got upgraded in 2021, when the other VF eNB on the building got turned on

- Now this mast is looking to get unwound. 3 applications were sent in (one each year), but kept getting withdrawn and amended until the 2023 one (23/02719/FUL) was accepted

- The last application is finally going to remove the VF antennae

- I checked today and the old eNB is finally off. I believe the old panels are off too (didn't check 2G, which may still be broadcasting from them), in preparation for the unwind

No idea when the unwind's happening. 11450 is a similar story, but O2 were never on it (though when this is upgraded, O2 will go on it as well: 22/02192/FUL). - DirtyRat583, 21:21, 07 December 2024
