Digicel, is a Trinbagonian GSM/UMTS/LTE provider. Their PLMN is 374 130.

2G (GSM)

Digicel has deployed 2G GSM (EDGE) on the CLR (850 MHz) band. GSM 1900 (PCS) has been refarmed to LTE.

Cell ID Layout (3 Sectors)

BTS are in the format 5xxx.

Sector ID Frequency Band Direction
1 GSM-850 Northeast
2 Southeast
3 West

3G (UMTS)

Digicel has deployed 3G UMTS (DC-HSPA+) on both UMTS Band II and UMTS Band V.

DC-HSPA+ (i.e. carrier aggregation) is enabled between the 2 PCS carriers and between PCS and CLR.

A cell site on Digicel's network can have up to as much as six sectors. The direction of the serving cells can be changed based on the area that the site has to serve.

4G (LTE)

Digicel has deployed 4G LTE (LTE-A) on the following bands: 2/4/28. They also have 256 QAM enabled on the network.

NOTE: Digicel has temporarily been given permission to broadcast PCS-1900 on 999 and APT-700 on 9585. Listed below are the offical EARFCNs per the National PMTS Spectrum Plan.

eNBs are listed in the following format: 50xxx.
Macrocells: 500xx-505xx (506xx may be used in rare cases).
Rooftops: 506xx (Rooftops can also use eNBs between 500xx-505xx and 507xx).
Tobago cell sites: 507xx.
Microcells/Indoor DAS: 508xx.
Sites for extended coverage: 509xx

The direction of the serving cells can be changed based on the area that the site has to serve. If an additional sector is added, the PCI and Sector ID may not necessarily be in chronological order. For e.g. if a 4th sector is added at a later date, the Sector ID may be labelled as x6 instead of x4 and the PCI may just be a random number different from the order of the original 3 sectors.

Cell ID Layout (6 Sectors)

A cell site on Digicel's network can have up to as much as six sectors. The direction of the serving cells can be changed based on the area that the site has to serve.
