2G (GSM)
Digicel has deployed 2G GSM (EDGE) on the CLR (850 MHz) band. GSM 1900 (PCS) has been refarmed to LTE. The 2G network will be decommissioned on December 31, 2024.

4G (LTE)
Digicel has deployed 4G LTE (LTE-A) on the following bands: 2/4/28. They also have 2CA and 256 QAM enabled on the network.

The direction of the serving cells can be changed based on the area that the site has to serve. If an additional sector is added, the PCI and Sector ID may not necessarily be in chronological order. For e.g. if a 4th sector is added at a later date, the Sector ID may be labelled as x6 instead of x4 and the PCI may just be a random number different from the order of the original 3 sectors.

Carrier Aggregation
Digicel Supports Carrier Aggregation between Bands 2 & 4 (2A-4A) on both the downlink and uplink as well as between Bands 2, 4 & 28 (2A-4A-28A). Three Carrier Aggregation and 2CA with b28 has been temporarily stopped.
